February Bookmail Giveaway

Good Afternoon everyone,

I hope you’re all safe in your hometowns and that you have a certain amount of freedom which may allow you to have some daily joys. Freedom seems like a scarce resource these days and I value it more and more each day.

Today we have a very special post at From Pemberley to Milton. In January I decided to do something new and host a giveaway in which I offered one ebook to my readers. The winner could choose any book among the ones I received in the mail during January and this idea was such a huge success, with everyone encouraging me to make a tradition out of it, that I decided to repeat it, so it is time to launch the February Book Mail Giveaway!

This month I only received two books in the mail, so you don’t have such a big offer as last month, but to be honest, I am glad these were the only books I got in the mail. I am still on a strict lockdown which will last apparently until April, and that is killing my reading mojo, so I have read very little and my TBR seems pretty much the same I had in the beginning of the year.

This month, the books I got in the mail and from which you can choose are the following:

Hostile Ground by Sally Malcom & Laura Harper – Source: Purchased

Nine Ladies by Heather Moll – Source: Gift from author

To participate in the giveaway, all you have to do is tell me in the comments you are interested. I will announce the winner next Saturday, so you’ll have until the 6th of March to let me know. You don’t need to choose right away, but feel free to discuss any of these books 🙂 Unfortunetely the option to offer an ebook is only available to me on Amazon.com so you’ll have to have an account there to participate.

I will also post this giveaway on From Pemberley to Milton’s Facebook and Instagram page’s and participants from all platforms will be eligible for this giveaway 🙂

Good Luck Everyone!

Obviously I’m not eligible! I also haven’t read any Stargate books although I did used to watch it years ago (I think with Richard Dean Anderson – loved McGyver as well)
However I would like to say how much I love Nine Ladies! Such a great story, very different with a fabulous Darcy!
    Good luck to whoever wins!

I have read Nine Ladies twice and am not interested in the other book. But thank you for your generosity. Stay safe.

NINE LADIES sounds like a book I would enjoy. Thank You.

I just read about Nine Ladies yesterday and and am interested in reading it. Hang in there!

  5. Thank you for this giveaway. I am very interested in Nine Ladies. Thanks!

  6. It can be dreary in the lock down and hard to keep up your usual pace. Wishing you well and hope in April all can be opened for you. I’ve got Nine Ladies to read and am looking forward to it. I’ve heard of Stargate TV series so hope the book is as good as the show.

Appreciate the giveaway, but will skip this one. Happy March, Rita!

Please enter me in the giveaway. I’ve been pretty much on lockdown for almost a year now, so I feel your pain. All my groceries are curbside pickup (windows closed, trunk popped), everything else is bought online & shipped. All my interactions outside my household are virtual. I’m constantly refreshing websites looking for mythical vaccine appointments. I’m eligible but that doesn’t mean they’re available.

I love Stargate and Heather Moll as well. Thanks for the giveaway.

Oops! I got so excited about the Heather Moll book that I bought it so take me out of the running for that one. 🙂

  10. You’re very generous, Rita. If I am lucky enough to win I’d be delighted with Nine Ladies. We are fortunate here in the Blue Ridge region of South Carolina; our governor gave local authorities (cities, counties) control over lockdowns, quarantines, and mask mandates. In our area there have been none of these, and the schools are open. Some individual employers, however — no doubt at the instruction of their insurance lawyers — do require masks. Our county has the lowest infection rate and lowest death rate in the State as well as most of the USA. So we’re convinced that most of this pandemic stuff is a scam. Stay well and stay happy 🙂 !

  11. Oh Rita, this lockdown stuff is depressing isn’t it. Our rules get reviewed 3 weeks at a time, but it seems likely that my kids will be off school until after Easter which takes us through until April. It kills my reading mojo too. Big virtual hug to you.

Thanks for the chance! Nine Ladies is on my TBR, it sounds like fun. How interesting that both books have to do with time travel, right?

  13. Thank you for another giveaway. I’d be happy to win either one

  14. Thanks for the great opportunity to win an e-book, Rita. Since there is only 1 Austenesque novel, Nine Ladies would be my only choice. Good luck to all!

What a nice giveaway! I enjoyed Nine Ladies, though I haven’t seen Hostile Ground.
